In particular, the planners want to know if their demands for information are too expensive or unreasonable. Or if they let developers submit planning applications without providing what neighbours, communities and consultees need to come to a reasonable decision.
The current requirements are contained in a document called the Validation Requirements for Planning Applications, which was agreed in July 2013 but is now being reviewed by the council.
So planners would like people who have recently been involved in a planning decision to help them with a brief survey.
