Help Needed, Hinckley

Westfield Nursery and Pre-School along with other settings in the area, have lost much of their local authority required funding in recent years, and have instead become charitable organisations; responsible for their own funds and fundraising.

Due to shortage of funds and the ever increasing population of children in their care, both sites have struggled to maintain the buildings, and have little money to do the required work. The buildings are both getting old and have many needed repairs, fundraising and ongoing financial support is difficult to come by.

With a bit of help and response to this DIY SOS, they are hoping that the parents of the current intake, staff, Hinckley public, businesses and former pupils can help!?

The schools are both in need of plumbing, glazing and carpeting work as main priorities, so if you can help, donate and are prepared to give up some time to carry out the work and renovations, we NEED YOU!

Local businessman, Neil Turvey of Copyshop in Castle Street, Hinckley is getting involved after hearing the plight of the two under 5 settings, as both his children attended the pre-school and he has a long-standing affiliation with Westfield.

Neil and his business will be giving up their time and money to assist the sites in any way he can. Copyshop has already donated print and paper products to the schools and will also be supporting them financially. Neil has even said he will happily don his overalls to participate in any DIY work to help them out.
